Berdasarkan Japanese-English Dictionary of Kendo dari All Japan Kendo Federation,Shihan berasal dari 2 kata yaitu shi=to show ;han=model.
Ini berarti Shi-han adalah A master; a person with exceptional Kendo techniques and CHARACTER who serves as an example.
Kalau begitu kalau ada orang ngaku2 Shihan tapi kelakukannya minus, apa betul Shihan namanya?Ngaca dulu yah mestinya hehehe
